To what lengths are you willing to go to make money? Well, if you are Illinois Govenor Rod Blagojevich they are fairly extreme!
Early on the morning of Tuesday December 9, 2008 the Govenor of Illinois was arrested and held in custody at FBI Headquarters in Chicago. He is under indictment for attempting to auction off to the highest bidder the vacant Senate seat of President Elect Barack Obama.
According to the news clip from ABC News 7 the Govenor was under investigation, but was not expect to be taken into custody until the end of the month. In an MSNBC News Services article it is reported that the FBI compiled a 76 page affidavit detailing the the Govenor's conspiricy to sell or trade the Senate seat to the highest bidder.
There are tens of trillions of dollars in the Global economy, billions of which change hands every single day. It hardly seems worth it to have to make a mandatory stay at Club Fed for a few hundred thousand dollars, to say nothing of the fact that what this Govenor did was completely unethical and wrong. Apparently he forgot a key rule as a corrupt politician, and that is 'You must uphold the appearance of the law especially when you're breaking it!'
Seriously, it looks as if Rod Blagojevich has made a grave political error in judgement the likes of which there is no 'coming back' from. If he wanted to make money he should have invested in Oil Futures before the Iraq war. He would have made mass quantities of it, just like Exxon, OPEC and a few others.
Yesterday Wirespeed Wealth deposited the first of hopefully many paychecks from it's affiliate partner, Tybit.com. Granted it was not nearly the amount of money that Blagojevich coveted, but it was money made that was free of the risk of being punished for our attempt to make it. It was money made that only took a little time and effort to make, and that is what's required to make money, some time and effort and passion for what you enjoy doing. However there are those like Blagojevich who disagree!
